Nova massacre victim required to pay electric bill, surge in complaints against National Security Ministry

|
A surge of about 500% was recorded in complaints filed against the National Security Ministry in 2024 compared to 2023 - from 226 to 1,436 - most of which concerned the issue of gun licenses. Five out of every six complaints were found to be justified. These data come from the Public Complaints Commissioner's report. The Public Complaints Commission received 999 complaints from evacuees related to the emergency situation (from the beginning of the war until the end of 2024). This represents 26% of all complaints received on this issue. One of them is from the parents of a Nova party massacre victim, who approached the Public Complaints Commission with a complaint against the electric company for continuing to send payment demands in their son's name.
