The head of the IDF Personnel Planning and Administration Division, Brigadier General Shai Tayeb, updated the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that there are approximately 54,000 ultra-Orthodox men eligible for military service who have not yet received their first draft notice. According to him, they are expected to receive them starting next month - in one or two phases. Tayeb emphasized: "We intend to conduct enhanced enforcement activities, implement more creative approaches where some individuals will be intercepted not only at Ben Gurion Airport but also in arrest patrol vehicles and so forth."
