The Local Government Center addressed the intention of teachers and kindergarten teachers to hold a 'work-to-rule' strike today, stating that the Ministry of Education, as their employer, is responsible for finding substitutes. "Many kindergarten teachers are expected to be absent from work. The Ministry of Education is the employer of kindergarten teachers, therefore the responsibility for finding substitute teachers falls on them," the statement said. "We expect the Ministry of Education to fill the shortages with their teacher reserve pool as announced last week, to allow kindergartens to open as usual."
