Eisenkot: 'I thought the State Camp needed democratization, it didn't address this need'

|
MK Gadi Eisenkot made a statement to the media following his departure from the State Camp party. He said that the idea behind establishing the party was "to create a connection between center and right, who would together lead a Zionist, statesmanlike and liberal line. These principles were correct then, and are even more correct after the enormous failure of the October 7 disaster." Eisenkot added: "I thought the State Camp needed a transparent and deep democratization process that would breathe new life into the party and build it as an alternative government. Unfortunately, the principles presented for the process did not address this need."
