The prosecutor's office filed a statement of indictment against truck driver Michael Cohen (46) from Haifa, who is suspected of causing death by indifference of 82-year-old Gabi Kamin at a gas station at the Nir Benim junction, near Kiryat Gat. According to the suspicion, Cohen ran over Kamin, who worked at the gas station, after an argument broke out between the two. Cohen is also suspected of driving the truck while under the influence of cannabis and possessing drugs not for personal use. The Ashkelon Magistrate's Court extended his detention by four days and noted that since the last detention extension, the required investigative actions were carried out and the reasonable suspicion against him increased.
