Lapid on former chief rabbi's comments against High Court: 'The ultra-Orthodox won't tell us what to do on Shabbat'

|
Opposition Leader Yair Lapid responded to former Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef's scathing attack on High Court justices, saying that 'the ultra-Orthodox won't dictate to us what to do on Shabbat, and if the chief rabbis want anyone to listen to them, they should first announce that they support universal conscription.' Earlier, the rabbi called the justices 'heretics and evildoers,' adding that 'the Holy One, blessed be He, will destroy them, will kill them,' after they dealt during Shabbat with a petition concerning the number of protesters allowed to gather under Home Front Command restrictions.
