Attorney General to High Court: State will fund ultra-Orthodox schools if they meet core curriculum standards

|
Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara submitted the state's response to the High Court regarding a petition concerning funding for ultra-Orthodox educational institutions, filed about a year and a half ago by the Hiddush association for religious freedom and equality. In response to the petition, it was determined that the state will condition continued funding on 'compliance with basic obligations that apply to network institutions, including core curriculum studies.' Additionally, the state's response noted that supervision data regarding the extent to which ultra-Orthodox network institutions comply with core curriculum studies do not adequately reflect the actual gaps.
