Rabid cat found in Lower Galilee, 8 people referred for treatment

The Ministry of Health announced that a rabid cat was discovered in Kibbutz Lotem in the Lower Galilee, and eight people who were exposed to it have been referred for preventive rabies treatment. The Ministry of Health requests anyone who came in contact with the infected cat, or whose pet came in contact with it, or had an animal wandering in the area between May 19 and June 2, to urgently contact the health department.
