The aircraft carrier Gerald Ford has left the Mediterranean Sea and passed through the Suez Canal to the Red Sea, according to photos released by the U.S. Navy. The Ford was positioned in the eastern Mediterranean at the start of the war, and American officials said before the operation in Iran that it was also meant to defend Israel.
