Michael Katz, 82, died from his injuries at Rambam Medical Center in Haifa after being critically wounded in the direct hit of an Iranian ballistic missile on a building on Shimshon Street 57 in the city on April 5. Michael fought for his life for more than three months. Four members of the Gershowitz family were killed in that strike. With Michael's death, a former Rafael employee, the number of fatalities from the deadly strike has risen to five. Michael's wife, Nina, who was lightly wounded, eulogized him: 'On that terrible Sunday, my life was shattered by an Iranian missile strike. I was granted the gift of a new life and for that I am grateful to the Creator of the world – and on the other hand, from this day forward I will live my new life as half a person, after 55 years of marriage.'
