Einav Zangauker: 'Matan nearly suffocated to death in bombed, collapsed tunnel'

|
Einav Zangauker, whose son Matan is held captive in the Gaza Strip, revealed during the hostages' families' statement at Begin Gate in Tel Aviv that she learned her son had survived several IDF bombings, and in one instance nearly suffocated to death from toxic gases in a tunnel that was bombed and collapsed. According to her, "Matan and the other hostages will not survive continued military pressure. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told hostages' families he is only willing to proceed with a partial deal, after which fighting would resume." Zangauker addressed Netanyahu saying: "You are sentencing to death the hostages you'll leave behind and making a selection between Jewish blood."
