The ultra-Orthodox claim that Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Chairman MK Yuli Edelstein is demanding a list of sanctions in the draft law. According to them, the sanctions include: cancellation of property tax discounts; cancellation of salary tax credit points; cancellation of subsidized housing programs; mandatory purchase tax even on first apartments; cancellation of academic studies subsidies; prevention of obtaining driver's licenses; prevention of leaving the country; cancellation of daycare subsidies and elimination of public transportation discounts.
