It was further stated that the article Abu Shahada published the day after the massacre 'stands at the heart of the disqualification clause set forth in Basic Law: The Knesset.' In response, the Adalah Legal Center, which represents the Balad party chairman, said: 'The Attorney General's position deepens the apartheid regime against Arab citizens in Israel.'
