The Iranian news agency Tasnim, considered close to the Revolutionary Guards, reported that "Tehran's negotiating team is halting message exchanges with the US through intermediaries due to the strikes in Lebanon." It was further reported that "no talks will be held until Iran's demands for a cessation of Israel's activities in Lebanon and Gaza are met." It was also claimed that the "axis of resistance" has included on its agenda a complete blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and the activation of additional fronts, including the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, "with the aim of punishing Israel and its supporters."
