Palestinian Authority Chairman Abu Mazen (Mahmoud Abbas)'s office commented on his meeting today with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during the celebrations marking 80 years since the Soviet Union's victory over Nazi Germany in Moscow. According to the office statement, during the meeting Abbas praised 'the historic relationship between Palestinians and Russia, and appreciated Russia's positions supporting the Palestinians.'
