Former senior security officials held a press conference outside the Kirya in Tel Aviv, calling on the government to stop the war in Gaza, return all hostages in a single exchange and rehabilitate the border communities. Reserve Major General Noam Tibon said that "the war that began as the most justified war after the October 7 massacre has turned into a political war. While our best sons are fighting and dying in the Gaza quagmire, the government is legislating the disgraceful draft-dodging law that harms fighters and reservists." Reserve Major General Uri Sagi added: "The war is now pointless and being conducted without purpose. I call here and now – stop! If we don't return to sanity, we are on the verge of a point of no return."
