The headquarters of the hostages' families criticized Transportation Minister Miri Regev's statement at the 'Women of the State' conference organized by ynet and Yedioth Ahronoth, where she claimed, among other things, that elections would be 'a disaster for the hostages.' The headquarters' statement read: 'We welcome the fact that the hostages have once again become a concern for public officials who until now avoided acting on their behalf and preferred waging an eternal war over returning our brothers and sisters. However, please do not take the hostages' names in vain and do not drag their names into considerations about whether or not to hold elections.'
