The Electricity Authority plenum decided on a 1.5% increase in the electricity tariff for typical household consumers (an addition of 5.9 shekels per month), and on transitioning to a "semi-annual, automatic and more transparent tariff update mechanism." The authority published a new tariff structure, so that the electricity tariff for the first quarter of 2026 is expected to lead to an increase of about 1.5% compared to the 2025 tariff, according to the dollar and consumer price indices. The additional cost for a typical household consumer will amount to about 5.9 shekels per month, starting January 2026.
