Germany, Ireland and Egypt 'strongly' condemn IDF fire toward diplomats in Jenin

Itamar Eichner|
The German Foreign Ministry 'strongly' condemned the incident in Jenin where IDF forces accidentally fired toward Arab and European ambassadors and diplomats. 'The Israeli government must shed light on the circumstances of the incident and respect diplomatic immunity,' the statement read. Ireland was quick to condemn as well, with Foreign Minister Simon Harris saying he was 'shocked and appalled by reports of Israeli military fire in close proximity to diplomats, including two Irish representatives. This is unacceptable.' Egypt also joined the condemnations and demanded clarification.
