High Court approves: Ultra-Orthodox institutions teaching core curriculum to receive funding for current year

|
The High Court of Justice accepted the outline proposed by Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, according to which funds will be released to ultra-Orthodox educational institutions for the current academic year that teach core curriculum subjects in at least 75% of what is stipulated in the Education Ministry director-general's circular. This includes, for example, teaching no less than two hours of English per week at elementary school ages. The funds to be released will be relevant only according to what the institutions are entitled to for the current year, while the rest of the budget will come up for discussion later as part of the petition filed by Yesh Atid and Hadash.
