Rabbi David Leibel, president of the 'Torah Brotherhood' network and who was involved in establishing the Haredi division, condemned the violence at the Hasmoneans conference in Bnei Brak. Leibel said that 'these are not zealots and not Haredim. These are thugs who desecrate God's name in public.' Leibel added: 'They have no part in the Torah and no part in us. They wrap themselves in a tallit of zealotry, but in truth they have nothing in their lives but destruction and ruin, and the world of Torah will not be preserved by their fists but by adding goodness and building. I strengthen the hands of the soldiers.'
