The Tel Aviv University
and a respected university in China announced last week plans to establish a Chinese research center that will focus on the study of contemporary Israel. The official announcement ceremony was attended by Tel Aviv
University President Professor Joseph Klafter.
"The center will reveal more about Israel to Chinese and foreign students, and will provide them with critical and necessary knowledge and skills to understand the State of Israel and its history, law, politics and culture," said Klafter.

The center is expected to hold seminars and workshops about Israel, and will include a think tank that will submit recommendations for policies regarding Chinese-Israeli relations.
An additional agreement was signed with another university in China about the establishment of an innovation center.
