Israeli Aerospace Industries crossed the USD 4 billion mark in new contracts closed in 2006 for the first time in its history.
In the past year, the company signed new contracts totaling USD 4.088 billion, a 22 percent increase from 2005, which ended in a total of USD 3.4 billion in new contracts.
In 2006, new export contracts totaled USD 3.6 billion in contrast to only USD 2.7 billion in 2005, marking an increase of 35 percent.
IAI President and CEO Itzhak Nissan said, "The company's achievements in 2006 are particularly remarkable in light of the fierce competition with the aerospace giants in international markets. This achievement is an expression of the business and technological advantage that IAI has for its clients in Israel and abroad."
