Google co-founder Sergey Brin has accepted President Shimon Peres' invitation to attend a conference he is organizing and is due to arrive in Israel thiscoming May, Yedioth Ahronoth reported on Sunday.
Hundreds of statesmen, businessmen, artists and physicians from all over the world are expected to take part in the conference, which will focus on "how Israel and the Jewish mind can contribute in the medical, scientific and ecological fields".
Peres met Brin at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The Google co-founder said he would arrive in Israel with his family and would take the opportunity to visit a few tourist sites.
The Israeli president also asked for Brin's support of the "Peace Valley" project, a joint Israeli-Jordanian-Palestinian endeavor aimed at increasing regional stability through economic development.
Brin, a 35-year-old Russian-born American Jew, is considered one of the richest people in world, with an estimated fortune of $18.5 billion.
