Bamba nougat and falafel dish win prizes in US

Israeli products participate in New Jersey food and beverage trade event, Kosherfest. Companies from around world take home prizes

Bamba nougat, the peanut-flavored crunchy snack with hazelnut cream filling, was chosen as the best new kosher snack food at the Kosherfest food and beverage trade event, held in New Jersey on October 27-28.
Another Israeli product, a tehini-filled falafel from Blue and White Foods marketed under the Ta'amti brand, won the prize for the best food from Israel.
The trade fair is held once a year in New Jersey, under the slogan "Where trends emerge and traditions continue." The products were chosen after five hours of deliberations by a panel of expert judges who sampled hundreds of new kosher food entries.
Kosherfest is an international trade event that focuses on kosher products only. Some 150 food companies from Israel sold in US supermarkets, including Strauss, Pri Hagalil, and Sugat, competed participated in the event.
Large US kosher food companies, such as Kedem, Manischewitz, and Sabra, participated in the event alongside companies from around the world.
