New York, Miami, Singapore - and now Tel Aviv

The residential tower trend hits Israel with a unique, local flavor at Park Bavli

While for most Israelis, home ownership is still very much all about the act of “buying a flat,” homeowners elsewhere have for years been pursuing a broader, more wholesome vision of the full “residential experience,” in line with the most contemporary, cutting edge property market standards: high risers everywhere are in fierce competition with each other over the range of amenities, luxuries, and public spaces they can offer their residents.
What makes residential parking at Miami’s Porsche Design Tower so astonishing? Where can one find a drone landing pad for Amazon deliveries?
And how have The Plaza International taken a global model and translated it into a residential tower, the likes of which Israel has never seen before?

Around the world, going for a high-rise building means you are buying into so much more than just a set of four walls.
The "condo" concept that has become the leading trend in dozens of countries around the world offers homeowners a range of exclusive, top tier amenities, benefits, and luxuries – from a car delivered from its parking space all the way into your home to swimming pools with stunning, surrounding vistas and the most carefully crafted, exquisitely streamlined, architecturally designed apartments that save you the time draining hassle of having to decorate your home from the ground up.
And now, the global residential tower trend has finally landed in Israel. Park Bavli Towers – by The Plaza International, whose formidable portfolio includes among other things, the refurbishment of New York City’s renowned Plaza Hotel, have brought over an unparalleled residential experience, previously unseen and unmatched anywhere on the Israeli property market.
Which towers around the world inspired the development? And how are the four elements – fire, water, earth, and air – interpreted in the Bavil Park homes?

Miami’s residential towers have been pulling out all stops in their bid to win over residents with a range of unique, outside-the-box luxuries and amenities, from a private helipad to a One Thousand Museum bespoke home scent by Zaha Hadid, and Jade Signature’s Turkish hammam.
However, the city’s undisputed holder of the Most Unique Development title is the Porsche Design Tower whose features, among other things include a lift that delivers your car from its parking space straight into your home, and open-air car parks where residents can prominently display their vehicles for all to see.
Chicago’s Vista Tower which includes a swimming pool on the 47th floor, complete with breathtaking vistas, a gym, conference center, cinema, lounges, private dining room, private chef’s kitchen, and a wine storage room, also offers its residents a choice of four built-in interior design styles inspired by natural crystals that are also cohesive with the building’s unique façade.

Meanwhile, Boston’s One Dalton Street comes with its own golf course simulator and even a groom room for the tower’s four-legged residents. Then there is Pierce Boston, another local high riser whose residents are able to purchase, on top of their primary home, a range of smaller rooftop holiday units that come with their own swimming pool and open-air vistas.
TEN50, one of Downtown LA’s highest-profile new developments boasts a unique feature which is bound to be the envy of every American – a bespoke drone landing pad, specially customized for Amazon deliveries.

New York City’s The Plaza Tower, one of Manhattan’s most iconic landmarks offers its residents the comfort of a rooftop lounge with an open air cinema, library, pool room, poker room, and so much more.
Now, the US is not the only place where one might find fully accessorized residential towers with a host of signature amenities – Singapore’s Marina Bay is one of Asia’s most lauded residential complexes with a view overlooking the Marina.
The high riser’s prominent features include a sophisticated interior design aesthetic and top tier furniture by elite designers, Zen garden, tea terrace, and designated barbecue areas that promote and encourage family quality time and communal get-togethers.
And of course, in true South East Asian form, the Marina Bay luxury tower also comes with its very own state-of-the-art karaoke rooms.

Park Bavli towers bring international quality, lifestyle, and a sense of community to Israel
One of the most unique housing developments in the country that has introduced international work standards to Israel is The Plaza International’s Park Bavli.
The development – comprised of two towers rising from a vast green landscape, a set of amenities which includes private wellness club, 25 meter long pool, sky gardens, business lounge, saloon, Gymboree and guest apartments.
If in most cases, the relationship between developer and architect comes with its own built-in set of tensions, then Park Bavli has seen the developer become the architect and vice versa. With their respective strengths combined, residents can only sit back and savor the benefits of truly transformative design and construction standards.
Spearheading the scheme is architect Gal Nauer who studied and worked for many years in New York City and led the architecture and design of unique properties as well as the renovation, restoration and design of the iconic Plaza Hotel and its luxurious private residences.
Nauer returned from the US, armed with a global toolbox of design concepts and creative ideas, all of which she then promptly put to work at Tel Aviv’s Park Bavli Neighborhood.

Living in Tel Aviv, Celebrating Nature – A Successful and rare combination of nature, parks and city center
The Park Bavli towers are located on Tel Aviv’s last-remaining, major undeveloped land; a fact that has allowed for the planning of a comprehensive, green living experience which includes among other things, a vast green open space and an entirely road-free compound with residential motor traffic made fully subterranean.
The strategic location offers residents the benefit of quiet, green surroundings on the one hand whilst at the same time, having all of Tel Aviv’s main cultural epicenters within arm’s reach.
The Yarkon Park – itself just a few minutes’ walking distance, connects to the towers via a green, pedestrian path. The sky gardens are in fact public balconies that are part of a wider range of communal spaces in each tower, and the common area shared by both.
These balconies are ideal for an exciting array of joint activities – from morning yoga to a cheeky glass of bubbly at sunset, or even a bit of rainy winter’s day fun with the kids.
Between the two towers, a state of the art wellness club is located. The club features a fully facilitated gym, yoga and Pilates studio, saunas, massage room, lockers as well as a 25-meter-long swimming pool.

Combining quality and lifestyle with a sense of community and family
At the heart and core of these public spaces and compounds is a long-term vision shared by both architect and developer whereby uncompromising quality does not have to mean eye-watering exuberance, and where a sense of community and family is first and foremost.
A plush and relaxed living experience, complemented by top-end, modern service standards.
This ‘marriage’ of property entrepreneurship and architecture has yielded a group of residents who wanted to live next to each other – siblings, extended families, and friends; all of whom were after a shared living environment that would provide them with a quality of life of only the highest standards.
The residents who have thus far put down roots in the development reveal a refreshingly diverse mix of both young families and couples whose adult children have already left the nest.

The universe’s elements come alive in beautifully designed apartments
As part of the development’s bespoke tailoring to the Israeli market and in line with its vision of a sharing, co-existing community, homes in the development are particularly spacious, thereby making them ideal for living, hosting and entertaining.
In addition, the embracing of global work standards and methods in the development has meant that Park Bavli homebuyers have the luxury of choosing their fully designed residences between four finishes styles that use only the highest grade finishes and which even extends to electrical appliances.
The designs inspired by the four elements of Water, Air, Fire and Earth. the "Water" style echoes a more Bohemian vibe with rounded, flowing lines; "Air" corresponds with a minimalist design which includes a soft, light and harmonious color palette and crisp, distinctive lines; "Fire" boasts bold and dramatic lines it accomplishes through layers of materials, colors and textures, whilst the "Earth" style has timeless elegance, with a rich and classic design.
