Israeli companies generated more than 500 business meetings and drew hundreds of visitors to the Israeli Pavilion at a major regional security exhibition this week, highlighting growing Israeli commercial interest in Mexico and broader Latin America.
The Israel Export Institute led Israel’s National Pavilion at Expo Seguridad México 2026, widely considered the largest security and safety exhibition in Latin America. The event was held in cooperation with Israel’s Foreign Trade Administration at the Ministry of Economy and Industry and the country’s economic and trade mission in Mexico. During the expo, Israeli firms met with government officials, security agencies and private-sector leaders from across the region.

Over three days, the pavilion served as a focal point for business activity, showcasing Israeli technologies in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, critical infrastructure protection, surveillance systems, border security and homeland security.
According to the Israel Export Institute, more than 500 business meetings were held with international partners, while over 300 people visited the Israeli Pavilion. Attendees included representatives of the Mexican government, security agencies, infrastructure and transportation companies, retailers and industrial firms, many of whom expressed interest in Israeli technologies.
Companies exhibiting at the pavilion included Magos Systems, LiveU, Corsight AI, Matrix 2Bsecure and CROW, which presented technologies aimed at protecting critical infrastructure, smart cities, strategic facilities and public and private organizations.
Alongside the exhibition, the Israel Export Institute hosted a closed-door roundtable with Mexico’s ambassador to Israel, H.E. Mauricio Escanero, bringing together more than 50 Israeli companies to discuss opportunities in the Mexican market, the world’s 15th-largest economy and a key gateway to Latin America. Participants also received market briefings and heard case studies from Israeli companies already operating in Mexico.
Avi Balashnikov, chairman of the Israel Export Institute, said Latin America is becoming an increasingly important target market for Israeli industry, with Mexico at the forefront.
“Latin America is rapidly becoming one of Israel’s most important strategic target markets, with Mexico leading this transformation,” he said. “We see tremendous potential for Israeli industry in the region, particularly in the fields of security, cybersecurity and advanced technology. This is a long-term strategic initiative aimed at strengthening the relationship between Israel and Latin American countries through economic cooperation, innovation and technology. Economic partnerships serve as a bridge between nations and have the power to create meaningful change while deepening bilateral relations across many areas.”
Nili Shalev, CEO of the Israel Export Institute, said demand for Israeli technology in Mexico is particularly strong.
“The level of interest we witnessed in Mexico for Israeli technologies was truly exceptional,” she said. “The hundreds of business meetings held by Israeli companies throughout the exhibition demonstrate the growing demand for Israeli solutions in security, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. The Israel Export Institute’s mission is to open doors, connect Israeli companies with international markets and create meaningful business opportunities, and the results we achieved in Mexico speak for themselves.”
The Export Institute said the outcomes in Mexico reflect a broader strategy to expand Israeli exports into new markets and strengthen the country’s position in global innovation sectors, particularly in Latin America.
