Sephora products are coming to Israel — but Sephora stores aren’t

Selected Sephora Collection products will be sold through Glam 42 stores and Azrieli pop-ups under an official agreement; sources say supply will be ongoing, while the initial assortment is expected to include about 120 to 150 products

Sephora has commented for the first time on an agreement that will bring its products to Israel through an official retail partnership, while stressing that the global beauty chain has no plans to open Sephora-branded stores in the country.
Under the agreement, Israeli beauty retailer Glam 42 will sell a selection of Sephora Collection products in its stores, marking the first official import deal for the brand in Israel.

Sephora enters Israel through Glam 42 partnership, but without opening branded stores
“Glam 42 will offer a selection of Sephora Collection products in its stores,” Sephora said. “The Sephora Collection brand has signed a temporary sales agreement with Glam 42. A selection of original Sephora Collection products will soon be available in selected Glam 42 stores.”
At the same time, the company emphasized: “We would like to clarify that the Sephora network has no plans to open stores in Israel.”
As previously reported, the products are expected to be sold for six months through pop-up locations in three Azrieli malls, in Malha, Tel Aviv and Ayalon, with two additional locations expected later. They will also be offered in five Glam 42 stores.
Sources familiar with the agreement said, however, that the arrangement is expected to involve continuous merchandise orders rather than a single shipment.
Sephora Collection has around 800 product codes, with approximately 120 to 150 expected to reach Israel in the initial phase. Based on the structure of the agreement, sources estimate that the brand could remain on sale locally for at least a year.
Glam 42 said the products offered in Israel will be original merchandise purchased directly from Sephora Collection in France.
“Glam 42 is pleased to officially announce its agreement with Sephora Collection, under which a selection of the brand’s products will arrive in Israel,” the company said.
“For the avoidance of doubt, all Sephora Collection products offered by Glam 42 and at the pop-ups in Azrieli malls are original products, purchased directly from Sephora Collection in France and imported to Israel under the agreement signed between the parties.”
The company stressed that the merchandise is not made up of surplus goods, outlet products or inventory obtained from outside suppliers.
“The agreement allows Glam 42 to offer a selection of Sephora Collection products in Israel, with the range potentially expanding in the future at the decision and discretion of Sephora Collection,” it said.
Glam 42 also emphasized that it remains an independent Israeli beauty retailer.
“Glam 42 is an independent Israeli beauty chain and is not the Sephora chain, and this activity does not constitute the opening of Sephora stores in Israel,” the company said.
Glam 42 currently imports and sells several international beauty and fragrance brands, including Fugazzi, Essential Parfums and BORNTOSTANDOUT. It operates physical stores in Israel alongside an e-commerce site and said the addition of Sephora Collection is part of its broader effort to expand the range of international beauty brands available to Israeli consumers.
