KNDS and Elbit Systems have agreed to form a joint venture to market a rocket artillery system for European armed forces, the companies said.
The venture, to be called EuroPULS GmbH, will be jointly owned and based in Kassel, Germany. It is intended to focus on supplying rocket artillery systems to European militaries.
The project combines Elbit’s PULS rocket launcher system with KNDS fire control technology, as the companies seek to expand their presence in Europe’s growing defense market.
The announcement comes as European countries continue to increase defense spending and seek to strengthen artillery capabilities.
Under a government-to-government agreement involving the Netherlands and Israel, Germany has ordered five EuroPULS launchers as an initial operational capability, with delivery expected in 2027.
