Israeli data security company Cyera announced the acquisition of Israeli startup Ryft, a company developing automated data management technology designed to help organizations securely adopt artificial intelligence systems and autonomous agents.
Financial terms of the deal were not officially disclosed, but sources estimate the acquisition value at approximately $100 million to $130 million. Ryft had raised about $8 million in seed funding, meaning the transaction represents a significant return for the company’s founders and early investors, including Index Ventures and Bessemer Venture Partners.
Ryft was founded in 2024 by CEO Yossi Reitblat, CTO Yuval Yogev and VP R&D Guy Gadon. The company built a platform focused on managing enterprise data access in the era of AI agents, automatically analyzing how both human users and AI systems interact with organizational data. Its system automates key functions such as data classification, permissions management and optimization of information flows across enterprise environments.
Ryft’s technology is already used by global companies including Sonos, Unity Technologies and Voodoo. The startup employs about 15 people, most based in Israel.
Following the acquisition, Reitblat will join Cyera to lead its AI security division. The Ryft team will be integrated into Cyera’s broader AI security group, as part of the company’s effort to expand its capabilities in AI-driven data protection and enterprise security.
Cyera itself has grown rapidly in recent years amid rising demand for data security tools tailored to AI adoption. The company was founded by Yonatan Itay, Tamar Bar-Ilan and Yotam Segev.
Earlier this year, Cyera completed a $400 million Series F funding round at a valuation of about $9 billion, bringing its total funding to more than $1.7 billion. The company has also completed multiple acquisitions over the past several years as it expands its footprint in the AI and data security space.
Executives at both companies said the deal is aimed at accelerating development of tools that allow enterprises to safely deploy AI systems while maintaining control over sensitive data. Cyera described Ryft’s technology as a complementary layer that strengthens its ability to manage and secure data access in increasingly complex AI-driven environments.
