Israel’s cybersecurity giant Check Point Software Technologies is expanding. The company has launched an aggressive hiring plan to add 500 new positions to its Israeli workforce, primarily in research and development. Check Point currently employs about 2,000 people in R&D in Israel, and the new hires represent a 25 percent increase.
Overall, Check Point employs 3,000 people in Israel and 7,000 worldwide. The planned recruitment drive will boost its global workforce by roughly 15 percent.

Current employees are being encouraged to refer friends to the company and are eligible for bonuses even if their referrals are not ultimately hired. The goal is to staff a recently launched artificial intelligence R&D center and develop new network security products by the end of 2025.
Check Point is also expanding its human resources departments in the United States as part of its broader hiring efforts.
One of the first major moves under new CEO Nadav Zafrir was the establishment of the AI center. Zafrir acknowledged that the company lags in cloud technologies but recently signed a $32 million deal to co-market cybersecurity tools. His strategy emphasizes ensuring the company does not miss out on the AI revolution.

In a sign of long-term investment in Israel, Check Point has purchased land for a new campus that will accommodate double the size of its current staff. The NIS 500 million project underscores the company’s confidence in the future of Israeli high-tech, even as many other tech firms relocate most or all of their operations to the U.S.
The company hopes the expansion will help revitalize its stock, which has lagged behind the faster growth of other Israeli cybersecurity firms.
