Hackers breach major law firm, sensitive information at risk

Goldfarb-Seligman, which represents most Israeli banks, major businesses and industry leaders, confirms it was hacked and that  matter quickly addressed; Sygnia, major cybersecurity firm, on case

Hackers have infiltrated the computer systems of Goldfarb-Seligman, a prominent law firm that represents most Israel's banks, sensitive transactions for billionaires and high-profile business leaders, raising concern that sensitive data has been exposed.

Initial reports suggest that the hackers breached the firm's email server and may have accessed years' worth of client communications. These emails contain highly confidential information not meant for public eyes.
To address the breach and mitigate the damage, the firm has brought in the cybersecurity experts from Sygnia. Currently, a thorough investigation is underway to determine the full extent of the breach and assess its potential consequences.

"Recently, we were informed by the National Cyber Directorate of a suspected cyber incident involving our firm's computer network and information," the firm said in a statement. "We have engaged Sygnia, a globally renowned cybersecurity company, for an immediate and comprehensive investigation. This investigation revealed a limited intrusion into one of our servers, during which some data items were copied. The incident was promptly addressed, and a report was submitted to the Privacy Protection Authority. It should be emphasized that there has been no disruption to the firm's regular operations."
