Ivri Lider, Eytan Fox on 'Out's' most important gay list

'It's a great honor,' Israeli pop star says after being selected by popular American magazine

The American magazine "Out" included Israeli pop star Ivri Lider and film director Eytan Fox on its annual list of the world's 100 most important gays, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Wednesday.
So far, the popular magazine's website has posted the names of only 13 of the 100 honorees, including Chrissy Gephardt, the daughter of 2004 American presidential candidate and Missouri representative Dick Gephardt, Canadian Muslim feminist Irshad Manji, and Jason Knight, the US Navy officer who was discharged in 2005 for violating the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy. Knight was called back to active duty in 2006.
"I am very pleased; it's a great honor," Lider said.
Fox, the director of "Walking on Water" and "The Bubble," said he was chosen by the magazine due to the popularity of his films in the US.
