Israeli Hollywood sensation Gal Gadot will play the lead role in a new international spy thriller and is set to rake in an eight-figure payday, Ynet has learned.
Gadot will star in Heart of Stone, a female-led spin on action franchises like Mission: Impossible and James Bond.
Gadot's salary for featuring in the Skydance Media production makes her one of Hollywood's top-grossing actresses.
The screenplay, the details of which are not yet known, was written by Netflix's The Old Guard mastermind, Greg Rucka, and Alison Schroeder who was nominated for an Academy Award for the drama Hidden Figures.
British director Tom Harper of The Aeronauts and Wild Rose fame is in advanced talks to direct the film.
Gadot's long-awaited latest endeavor, Wonder Woman 1984, is set for a Christmas Day debut on HBO Max and in theaters after several delays due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Gadot is also set to feature in the mystery thriller Death on the Nile (directed by Kenneth Branagh) and Netflix's Red Notice (starring Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne The Rock Johnson).
