Israeli pop star has been caught on video performing in front of 600 people at a wedding held in an evident violation of the health orders during an unprecedente surge of coronavirus infection in the country.
Israel on Wednesday saw its daily coronavirus caseload break the all-time high for a second day in a row, with a nationwide lockdown set to take effect on Friday in an effort to curb the contagion.
The footage of Lior Narkis, which emerged on social media on Tuesday, shows the singer perform in front of hundreds of people, who are dancing close to each other without either wearing masks or social distancing.
This is the second time within the past week and the third time since the start of the pandemic, the singer has been caught performing at weddings held in violation of the Health Ministry's guidelines.
Sources told Ynet the latest wedding was attended by at least 600 people and was held at a well-known event hall in the center of the country.
Narkis was heard telling the crowd to "dance before the lockdown" and added that he "missed performing".
When reached for comment, the singer's representatives refused to comment on the latest video.
