Singer Miley Cyrus and her partner Max Morando are engaged after four years of dating, People magazine reported Tuesday evening.
The two arrived on Monday at the premiere of the new film in the Avatar series," Avatar: Fire and Ash" featuring Cyrus performing the theme song, and it was hard not to notice the sparkling diamond ring on her finger. This of course sparked a wave of rumors about their engagement, and although the couple has not yet confirmed it themselves, a source close to them told the magazine that it did happen.

Cyrus already was spotted wearing the ring in mid-November, but this is the first time she has worn it to an official event, and she probably knew that everyone would talk about it and draw the necessary conclusion.
The Page Six website reports that the ring was custom-made by jewelry designer Jacquie Aiche, and that it is a cushion-cut stone set in a “chunky” 14-karat yellow gold band.

Cyrus, 33, and Morando, 27, became a couple in 2021, and two years ago she told British Vogue that they met on a half-blind date: "It was a blind date for me but not for him," she explained. "I thought to myself that the worst thing that could happen is that I would leave in the middle."
Regarding the age difference between them, which is not really that big, she said: "He looks at life completely differently than I do. He grew up with a laptop, and I had a desktop computer that I shared with my brothers and sisters. But he is also similar to me, we both don't take life too seriously."

She recently told The Cut that her mother, Tish Cyrus, always encouraged her to stay with men who weren't right for her "because they were hot."
About Morando, on the other hand, she said: "I'm with someone who cares about me and treats me nicely and with respect. I had to learn that the hard way, because my mother taught me the wrong way and I had to find out the right way on my own. I had to find someone who would treat me with respect, and my mother never gave a damn about that. She preferred them to be tall. My man is handsome, but he also respects me."

It's not clear which ex Cyrus is talking about, but she has several hot men on her romantic resume (and several women, too), most notably of course Liam Hemsworth, who was her on-and-off partner starting in 2009, and then her husband for a year, until they divorced in early 2020.
Hemsworth also recently got engaged to his partner of the past five years, Gabriella Brooks.
