The track, which includes verses from the biblical Song of Songs - such as "Many waters cannot quench love, nor can rivers sweep it away” - was approved in Europe weeks ago but sparked internal controversy in Israel. Dozens of artists challenged the song selection process, threatening legal action. However, the dispute was resolved after Kan’s management engaged in open dialogue with them, ultimately agreeing to consider their input in future selection processes.
The song and its music video will be officially revealed in a special Kan broadcast on Sunday, featuring Yuval Raphael, who secured her spot in Eurovision by winning the reality competition "The Next Star for Eurovision."
