Alon Ohel, who returned from Gaza after 738 days in captivity, will headline a one-time celebratory concert in Tel Aviv next year, marking his first major public performance since his release.
The show, titled “Alon Ohel – Playing Life,” is scheduled for Feb. 9, 2026, at Hangar 11 and will feature collaborations with leading Israeli musicians, including Idan Amedi, Eviatar Banai and others. Ticket prices range from 250 to 1,000 shekels, with all proceeds designated for Ohel’s rehabilitation fund.
The artists participating in the concert have volunteered to perform without compensation. The lineup also includes Alon Eder, Guy Mazig, Gal Toren, Marina Maximilian, Monica Sex, Karolina and Shlomi Shaban.
“I am deeply moved ahead of this performance,” Ohel said in a statement. “This will be my first time stepping onto a stage like this, and it’s a great honor to share it with artists whose songs accompanied me throughout that entire period. It’s important for me to show that light overcomes darkness. I want to embrace and thank everyone who supported me and my family, and to celebrate life together.”
The concert’s musical director is Amos Ben David. During the performance, Ohel will play piano alongside a full band, accompany the guest artists in singing and playing and share his personal story with the audience.
His mother, Idit Ohel, said the event fulfills a vision she held onto during her son’s captivity. “In the hardest moments, I would close my eyes and imagine Alon playing on a stage before thousands of people, simply happy, and now it’s happening,” she said. “Happiness is seeing dreams come true. Alon is here with us. Long live the music. Long live life.”
The concert is being produced by the Ohel family. Musicians performing as part of the house band include Ronen Ohel, Eran Mitelman, Adi Har Zvi, Karen Teperberg and Ben David.
