Could Sydney Sweeney soon become a regular at synagogue? According to the latest Hollywood gossip, it’s certainly possible.
The Christian actress and her Jewish boyfriend, Scooter Braun, have reportedly reached the marriage-and-kids stage of their relationship, leading Sweeney to seriously consider converting to Judaism for him. “They’re talking about starting a family, and this is very important to Scooter,” a source told Page Six, which also reported that Sweeney has already met with two rabbis.
She also reportedly joined Braun at a synagogue in Greenwich, Connecticut, for Rosh Hashanah. Converting to Judaism typically takes between 10 months and a year and a half and can involve courses on Judaism, the Bible, Jewish history and participation in community life.
Sweeney and Braun became a couple in the summer of 2025, and sources say he is planning to propose in the coming months. “He is determined to marry her,” a source said. “He follows her around and charters private planes. He will stay focused on her until she marries him.”
And apparently, the two are not inseparable only in their personal lives.
Rumors also suggest that Braun has taken Sweeney under his wing professionally, helping her find new management and arranging meetings for her, reportedly bypassing the agent who would ordinarily handle that work.
Braun was previously married to Yael Cohen. The couple divorced in 2022 after seven years of marriage and share three children: Jagger Joseph, 11, Levi Magnus, 9, and Hart Violet, 7. The children have already met Sweeney and have been photographed spending time with her and their father.
Sweeney celebrated her 29th birthday last month, and Braun marked the occasion with an especially romantic tribute.
“The woman who surprised me and showed me what a life of true partnership can be,” he wrote. “You make me smile harder, laugh louder, go on more adventures and dream bigger. You’ve made the ordinary exciting and made the future feel like something I simply can’t wait to get to.”
