Mark Zuckerberg's Metaverse vision never really garnered the kind of positive, enthusiastic hype he was hoping for. It became the subject of countless punchlines and jokes, but that didn't mean he'd completely abandon the idea.

  • Sure, Meta (The company that runs Facebook and Instagram) lost $13 billion just a year into development, prompting the company to announce they'll focus more on AI for now, but so what? Taking a backseat still means you're in the car, doesn't it?

If you don't believe me, maybe a musical performance would help convince you. Now you can actually see Israeli rock star Assaf Amdursky's latest concert on Metaverse, right from the comfort of your own home.
This upcoming Sunday, March 26, will see Amdursky's avatar meet all the avatars of his fans in a first-of-its-kind (at least for an Israeli artist) live performance from the Bombay Sapphire Metaverse center. It begins at 20:30.
Amdursky will perform a solo electro-show with a piano and DJ setup next to him, with which he can juggle his musical performance to his liking. In the background, you'll be able to see video clips of his past performances to help liven things up, as well as bring some nostalgia, as befitting a 52-year-old performer with an impressive track record.

After the show, fans will be able to mingle, walk about and even speak to the artist himself, all from your headset!
While the first Israeli to do so, some international artists have already performed on the Metaverse, including American rock band Foo Fighters and former teen heartthrob himself, Justin Bieber.
Want in? All you have to do is register and mark your calendar. It's gonna be a sight, albeit a virtual one.
