The prestigious Coachella music festival unveiled its lineup Tuesday for the upcoming event, announcing that Israeli singer Noga Erez will perform alongside global stars including Sabrina Carpenter and Justin Bieber.
Erez is scheduled to appear on the festival’s second day. Coachella 2026 will take place over two weekends in April, April 10-12 and April 17-19.
Her inclusion in the lineup comes as a surprise given the current political climate and the growing cultural boycott of Israel. In recent months, activists have called to bar Israel from participating in the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, and hundreds of artists signed a letter protesting against Israel’s film industry.
This year’s Coachella drew international headlines due to pro-Palestinian demonstrations onstage. The most prominent was by the Irish band Kneecap, which projected anti-Israel messages on a giant screen, including “F*** Israel,” “Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people,” and “The U.S. government arms and funds Israel despite their war crimes.”
