Grammy 2026: Kendrick Lamar leads with 9 nominations; Israeli duo up for Best Music Video

Kendrick Lamar leads the 2026 Grammy nominations, followed by Lady Gaga and producers Jack Antonoff and Cirkut with seven each; Israeli creators Vania Heymann and Gal Muggia are up for Best Music Video for Sabrina Carpenter’s Manchild

|Updated:
After dominating last year’s Grammy Awards, Kendrick Lamar leads the nominations for the 2026 ceremony with nine nods. He is followed by producers Jack Antonoff and Cirkut, and by Lady Gaga, who earned seven nominations — her highest total to date.
Israeli creative duo Vania Heymann and Gal Muggia are nominated for Best Music Video for Manchild, created for Sabrina Carpenter. The pair were previously nominated for their video for A$AP Rocky’s Tailor Swif. Their impressive resume includes Coldplay’s Up & Up and Dua Lipa’s We’re Good.

One of this year’s biggest surprises is singer-songwriter Leon Thomas, who received six nominations.
Bad Bunny — set to perform at the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show — earned nominations in all three top categories: Album, Record and Song of the Year, after being overlooked last year. Joining him in those major categories are Lamar, Gaga and Carpenter.
Animation is also getting its spotlight this year: the song Golden, from the hit Netflix series K-Pop Demon Hunters, is nominated in four categories, including Song of the Year.
Some notable absences appear in the nominations list. Country star Morgan Wallen announced he would not submit his work for consideration, and Taylor Swift’s latest album The Life of a Showgirl was released after the submission deadline.

Sabrina Carpenter is again among the leading nominees, with her second album Man’s Best Friend recognized in the Album, Record and Song of the Year categories. Lamar could repeat last year’s success — when he won five awards — this time competing with his album GNX and single Luther. The hip‑hop field is particularly strong this year, with Doechii and Tyler, the Creator each earning five nominations, alongside the rock band Turnstile and producers Andrew Watt and Sounwave.
The Best New Artist category is especially diverse, featuring nominees from across genres — from polished pop to indie soul and alternative sounds. Notable names include Olivia Dean, Katseye, The Marias, Addison Rae, Sombr, Alex Warren, Lola Young and Leon Thomas.
The 2026 Grammy Awards will take place on February 1.
