The world-renowned TEDx brand is set to return to Israel for the first time since the war began, with TEDxJaffaWomen 2025 taking place on October 19 at Hangar 11 in the Tel Aviv Port. The one-day event will bring together speakers, artists and entrepreneurs for an evening focused on innovation, creativity and human connection.
The event marks the return of the global TEDx platform to Israel after a prolonged pause caused by the war, which disrupted many international cultural gatherings. Organizers describe it as both a celebration of resilience and a statement of renewed engagement with the global exchange of ideas.
TEDxJaffaWomen will feature Israeli and international figures across technology, design, activism and health. Among the speakers are actress and humanitarian Moran Atias, who will speak about transforming fear into action; attorney and social entrepreneur Einav Biadgo, who founded 8200Beta to expand opportunities for Ethiopian-Israelis in the tech industry; and Moran Zer Katzenstein, founder of Bonot Alternativa, a civil movement advocating for women’s rights.
Other participants include Gal Nissim Emmanuel, founder of Ma’She, a community platform for dialogue and suicide prevention; Hila Carmel, entrepreneur and founder of Freeda.AI, which develops artificial intelligence solutions for women’s health; and Safa Younes, Arab-Israeli entrepreneur and founder of Arous Elbahar and DE YAFFA, who promotes women’s economic empowerment through business rooted in cultural heritage.
The lineup also features Michal Eitan, designer and lecturer at Bezalel Academy, who integrates sustainability and innovation in healthcare design, and Adi Carmon Skop, a futurist and founder of Adopt a Doctor, a volunteer network created during the COVID-19 pandemic that has grown into a global model of civic collaboration.
Behind the event is a team of veteran TEDx organizers and female leaders: Galia Oriya-Zuckerman, a university lecturer and community entrepreneur; Libi Ben-Nun, UX/UI studio owner and co-producer of multiple TEDx events across Israel; and Melody Dekel, entrepreneur and host of the podcast Think Like a Rich Woman.
Organizers say the night will combine world-class TEDx talks with live performances, fine food and networking opportunities for entrepreneurs, innovators and thought leaders. The evening will conclude with an after-party celebrating creativity, connection and the spirit of TEDx.
Doors open at 4 p.m., and the event begins at 5 p.m. at Hangar 11, Tel Aviv Port. Tickets are available through the TEDxJaffaWomen website.
