Boxer and YouTuber Jake Paul is making headlines again—this time not for his fights in the ring, but for a viral video in which he staged a quick "conversion" to Judaism.
In a video shared on social media, the 28-year-old recited blessings over tefillin, the Shema Yisrael prayer and the phrase "Am Yisrael Chai" ("The People of Israel Live"). He concluded by singing the celebratory song Siman Tov U’Mazel Tov.
During the video, Paul was asked if his mother is Jewish, to which he responded "yes."

However, he was born into a Christian family, and his connection to Judaism appears to stem from his maternal grandmother, who was of Jewish descent. The video effectively served as an unofficial bar mitzvah for the influencer.

The stunt drew a mix of reactions online. Some users responded with humor, with one joking, "Well done, Jake. Next step is circumcision—see you there."
Others shared past screenshots of Paul mentioning Jesus, quipping, "This guy might actually be the real Messiah." However, some criticized the video as disrespectful, with one commenter calling it "the most antisemitic tweet I’ve ever seen."
