Past midnight, Zahavi's neighbors, frustrated by the loud music and noise, reported to the police. Officers enforcing the nighttime disturbance law arrived shortly, and Zahavi's party quickly ended. Guests left, and the soccer star was fined NIS 350.
This isn't Zahavi's first brush with the law after a noisy function. In 2020, the national team marksman hosted another party which also prompted police intervention. Unlike this time, it didn't end with just a fine. Officers claimed Zahavi obstructed their duties and escorted him to the police station.
"Upon receiving a report through the Israel Police's hotline regarding an unreasonable noise disturbance during the defined hours of rest, officers arrived at the scene and identified the house from which loud music was blasting," Israel Police said. "The officers explained the nature of the offense to the homeowner and filed an enforcement report accordingly."
