The Dutch electronic music legend DJ Tiesto is set to perform in Israel in October as part of a festival.
The artist, nicknamed "The Godfather of EDM," will perform as part of the "Lifetime Festival" at Timna Park near the southernmost city of Eilat on October 20, with ticket prices ranging from NIS 310 to NIS 450.
The 53-year-old DJ and music producer, born Tijs Michiel Verwest, has been performing under different aliases since 1994, with a career spanning three decades, during which he released over 18 albums.
The DJ has also done many acts of philanthropy during his career, promoting awareness of HIV and AIDS, as well as taking part in the World Childhood Foundation, which supports children at risk of violence and sexual abuse.
This will not be Tiesto’s first performance in Israel, who previously performed in the Jewish state in 2005 and 2019.
Throughout his career, he won dozens of awards, including Grammy and MTV awards. He performed all over the world and collaborated with many musical artists. His greatest hits include “Adagio for Strings”, “The Motto”, “The Secrets”, “Don’t be Shy”, “Business” and “Ritual”.
