Israeli singer Stephane Legar on Friday earned third place on France's version of Dancing with the Stars, alongside his partner for the show, dancer Calisson Goasdoué.
He competed in the show’s finals along with actor Billy Crawford and French singer Carla Lazari and their respective dancing partners. Crawford and his partner ultimately won the first place.
Throughout the competition, Legar impressed the judges with his impressive dancing moves, even making his fans worried for his physical well-being after a video emerged showing him falling off his seat onto his back.
Legar was born in the Israeli city of Bat Yam to Togolese parents, who were working in Israel as part of a foreign diplomatic mission. Thanks to his Togolese upbringing, Legar is fluent in French as well as Hebrew.
The 24-year-old singer rose to prominence in the Israeli entertainment industry over the past few years, collaborating with many well-known local pop artists, such as Noa Kirel and Static and Ben El.
His breakthrough hit was 2018 "Comme Ci Comme ça" - sung in both French and Hebrew.
Legar has been living in France in recent months, while taking part in the 12th season of the French reality series.
Earlier this year, Legar released his single “Speed Life," which was used to promote Sonic the Hedgehog 2, a comedy based on the video game series, in France.
