Pop star Eyal Golan brought an emotional moment to the spotlight Saturday evening when he invited newly‑released hostage Elkana Bohbot and his wife Rivka onstage during his live concert in Yarkon Park in Tel Aviv.
Golan addressed Bohbot in the audience and congratulated him on his return to Israel after more than two years in captivity in Gaza following the October 7, 2023, attacks. He then dedicated the song Lohemet (Fighter) to Rivka, who sat beside her husband as they struggled to hold back tears.

Bohbot, 36, was abducted by Hamas on October 7, 2023, during the attack on the Nova Music Festival and held in Gaza for more than two years. He was released earlier this month as part of a mediated agreement.
Shortly after his return, Golan also visited Bohbot at the hospital where he is recovering. The singer shared photos from the visit on social media.
Bohbot had appeared in several propaganda videos released by Hamas during his captivity. He is one of 20 hostages recently returned to Israel amid ongoing efforts to secure the release of those still held in Gaza.
