After appearing in a sheer gown at Variety’s Power of Women event in L.A. in late October, Sweeney stepped out this week for the premiere of "The Housemaid," dressed in a white gown designed by Israeli label Galia Lahav.
The halter white dress, with a dramatic neckline, drew direct inspiration from Marilyn Monroe’s unforgettable scene in the 1955 film "The Seven Year Itch," in which Monroe’s white dress billows over a subway grate. That image remains one of Hollywood’s most enduring symbols, closely tied to Monroe’s legacy as a cultural icon.

Lahav’s design of the elegant silhouette offered a flattering nod to that classic 1950s Hollywood glamour, while Sweeney brought a fresh, sexy twist to the look. She completed the ensemble with hair styled in soft waves, red lipstick, and delicate jewelry, creating a glamorous, nostalgic appearance that still felt thoroughly modern.
Over the past year, Sweeney (28) has emerged as a major red carpet presence and a rising figure in the fashion world, following her appearance in American Eagle’s controversial denim campaign.
This marks Sweeney’s second collaboration with Galia Lahav; she previously wore one of the designer’s gowns to the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez.
“Seeing Sydney Sweeney glowing on the red carpet in a design we created just for her, inspired by Marilyn Monroe, is a dream come true,” Galia Lahav told Ynet. “Having her choose us again is deeply moving and strengthens the special bond we’ve formed.

"She’s the biggest star in the world right now, and this is truly an incredible moment. Every gown we make is more than just a dress; it’s a story, a moment, a dream come to life. I’m incredibly proud of my team."
