FOX casts Israeli actress Odeya Rush in new crime thriller 'Memory of a Killer'

Rush joins Patrick Dempsey in upcoming series about a contract killer dealing with early-onset Alzheimer’s; based on a Belgian film, the series is set to debut in the 2025–2026 broadcast season

FOX has cast Israeli actress Odeya Rush in the upcoming crime thriller series "Memory of a Killer," the network announced Monday night. Rush will star alongside Patrick Dempsey, with Michael Imperioli and Richard Harmon also joining the main cast.
The series follows Angelo Leda, a contract killer diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s who lives a double life as a ruthless assassin in New York and a quiet salesman. As his condition deteriorates, the boundary between his identities begins to collapse, leading him to suspect that the death of his wife was not accidental. With his life and the life of his pregnant daughter in danger, Angelo sets out to uncover the truth while hiding his illness and continuing his lethal work.

Dempsey will play Angelo. Imperioli, known for "The Sopranos" and "The White Lotus," will portray Dutch, an Italian chef who runs a Bronx restaurant that serves as a front for criminal activity and is both a close friend and employer to Angelo. Harmon ("The 100") will play Joe, a young assassin aware of Angelo’s condition who partners with him.
Rush will portray Maria, Angelo’s daughter. Married young and now pregnant, Maria appears to have chosen a quiet life but remains drawn to her father’s world. As she grows closer to him, her own safety is increasingly at risk.

"Memory of a Killer" is based on the 2003 Belgian film "De Zaak Alzheimer." It was created by Ed Whitmore and Tracey Malone, who serve as executive producers along with Cathy Schulman, Arthur Sarkissian, Martin Campbell and Peter Bouckaert.
FOX Entertainment President Michael Thorn described the series in May as “a dramatic thriller with relentless drive,” comparing it to network staples "24" and "House." He said the lead character has the potential to become an iconic figure for the network.
The show is scheduled to premiere during the 2025–2026 broadcast season. A specific air date has not yet been announced.
